NOTE: Both of the systems presented below produce slightly different results. The flow of gas through an orifice can depend on a great many subtle factors, including how you actually drill an orifice or polish it or keep it clean. This can make a great difference as to how much fuel will actually be delivered through the system. Casual factors such as fuel temperature and altitude also have a bearing and there are conflicting amounts of Btus per cubic foot of propane between the two systems. The Ward System uses 2500 Btus per cubic foot of propane at 60 degrees F. while the Pyronics System uses 2572 Btus per cubic foot at an unknown temperature. Neither system is profiled as to altitude but I am assuming they are at sea level.
